As NSX has built-in parking brake adjuster inside the piston, there are lots of extra parts involved for the Rear calliper OH process.

In the process of installing the adjuster mechanism.

Again, very important to check the smooth operation of the piston.

Even for a super low mileage and fairly later spec NSX, the rust managed to get inside the calliper and pitted the surface of the piston.

Even it looked very small, it was enough to prevent the piston from moving smoothly.

    Replaced with the new one.

  3. Brake OH 01

Probably, the most neglected area on the UK based NSX, the brake system.

After test driving so many NSX using exactly the same route and scenario, almost none of them passed my test for the brake system.

The cause of the issue is simple.

It was not properly overhauled (OH) at regular interval.

In fact, on most of them, the system was never OH after they left the factory.

Time for the compression check after the TB/WP/Valve service.

    Result in psi.

Full data has been emailed to the owner.

    Cyl 1: **0, Cyl 2: **0, Cyl 3: **9
    Cyl 4: **8, Cyl 5: **8, Cyl 6: **0

Once again, very pleased with the result.

Before start of the service, there were quite big deviation between the cyl especially at the #4 cyl.

  5. Throttle Butterfly Cleaning

Before warming up the engine in preparation for the compression check after TB service, started to clean the TH butterfly while the engine was cold.

This NSX is DBW so there is no EACV, dashpot, etc.

From time to time, on DBW model, you may need to adjust the idle rpm based on the specific procedure after cleaning the TH butterfly.
