Although this is the 1st TB service for this NSX, the crank pulley bolt was not seized and came off with ease.

The car is close to the last year model and still at low mileage so all of the bolts and nuts are easy to work with.

Having said this, some of the TB lower ...

  2. Parts Arrived

I only started to work on another NSX from this week and already received almost all of the parts for the next service....

More than one month ago, I placed an order for lots of parts to japan.

There were several back ordered parts at that time but it didn’t bother me because I only needed the parts around mid April.

This NSX is the Targa with LEV so before I can access the IGN Coils and spark plugs, I must remove so many things as a preparation.

For TB/WP service, it would be quicker to take the engine out with the sub-frame like I used to do especially if it is OBD-II LEV model.

  4. Preparation for the TB/WP service

    by , 27-03-2011 at 09:24 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Another owner left his NSX for the TB/WP/Valve clearance service together with the Health Check and 96 months services.

[Message to the owner] Your service history record will have the Blog ID as 'NSX-Service-2011108'.

The owner bought the parts in US based on the list that I provided and brought them back with him on the way back to UK.

New pulley installed and torqued to the spec.

My Digital torque wrench that failed the other day was replaced with a completely new one and used it for tightening the pulley bolt to the spec.

Thanks for the life time warranty and quick customer support from the manufacture and the tool shop that I always use.

Tensioned the ACG and A/C belts and torqued all the bolts/nuts to the ...
