    Once again, the proof of poor previous TB service……




    Lots of NSX on the road will have missing, sheered off or rounded bolts at their TB covers and on this engine, the one behind the crank pulley was sheered off and left without being treated.

    If re-using the two upper bolts of the oil cooler, one should apply liquid gasket to the bolt thread on installation but there was no sign of it on them….
    Still, there was a residue of red sealant from the factory so cleaned them in preparation for the installation.

    The new bolts with red sealant for the WP and thanks to my local Honda garage,
    the missing dowel pin was delivered.

    There is no point in re-using these bolts. Considering its price, it will take more
    time and cost to clean them thoroughly, then apply the liquid gasket one at
    a time than to replace all of them with the new ones.

    Time to replace the WP.
    The existing WP already started to show the rust on the impeller.
    I always replace WP whenever working on the TB so it was replaced 60K miles ago.
    This time, it took me 9yrs to cover this mileage and the coolant was replaced again after the last TB service when I replaced all of the coolant hoses.

    Installed new rubber seals to the TB Front and Rear covers.

    In the past, if you order the WP, it automatically came with the new TB Lower cover and the small rubber grommet for the WP seepage tube. The price was the total of these three parts.
    However, after the recent price revision, I found that I can make tiny saving by ordering
