  1. NSX Health Check Service – Day 9

    by , 20-10-2011 at 11:51 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Another 'fastest' colour NSX visited my place today.

Very clean and at low mileage that can be backed up by the clean state of the chassis parts under the body.

At the beginning of the Health Check, I normally spend about 30min for the Q&A session to understand how the NSX was serviced as well as to understand the driving condition and style of the owners.

This will also allow the tyre, brake, cooling system, ...
  2. NSX Health Check Service – Day 8

Back to UK spec NSX from today.

During the Q & A session before the Test driving, the owner mentioned that he could hear rotational metal contact noise and he had the brake area including the pads checked and being told that there was no issue. Really??

There was Engine Check Light on the dash as well.

It was honour to be able to test drive the 3rd one within a short ...

    by , 17-10-2011 at 11:41 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Today, it was time to check the modified early JDM NSX.

Being told that the engine was running on full aftermarket ECU.
While I was testing, the idle rpm sat at 1,000rpm so not necessarily doing the full idle control but it was smooth and not like other poorly controlled aftermarket ones.

The aftermarket CL was one of the heaviest pedal feeling available on the market and initially I was told that it was not like the ...
  5. NSX Health Check Service – Day 5

If you are thinking of using aftermarket wiper blade, think twice.

Quite often, I saw owners using aftermarket standard or even aero blades on NSX.

Most of them are not designed with the clearance requirement for our NSX.

If you are using it, you better check the clearance at your wiper arm and the back of the bonnet.
