    Due to other projects being very busy, couldn’t spend much time on my NSX but now back in the garage again.




    Oil Pan removed and if you have the replacement o-ring, you can also remove the oil screen/strainer to completely take off the baffle plate.

    Honda Type-2 coolant. Inside the container, it’s blue.
    Vacuum leak check carried out and left it under vacuum for 30min.

    What a hot and humid day to be inside the closed room…


    Until putting back the valve covers, couldn’t open any of the doors so it was like working inside the steamy sauna.



    At the end, decided to stop before carrying out the compression check as I’m bit too old dealing with the hot engine inside the sauna.

    New WP, new bolts with the red sealant and the original dowel pins.


    In the process of cleaning the old red sealant from the 9 bolt holes and oil at one hole.

    Before going any further, wanted to carry out the vacuum leak check of the cooling system especially after replacing the WP as well as all of the coolant hoses.


    You don’t want to find any leakage at the WP after re-assembling everything as you will need to remove almost everything again to get to the WP.
