Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer

As part of my annual service, I always take engine compression.
I kept doing this on my NSX every year since I bought it new in 1994 and as I changed the equipment, different altitude, etc over the years, can't do direct comparison of the absolute figures but at least, I know the condition of each cyl.




Silicone compound is doing good job ...

As the brake pads are going to be re-used, set the fluid level to here and not at the max line.




As seen on the state of the Rear bank IG coil cover cap nut, the IG coil at #1 and #3 cyl showed lots of rust.
Not alarming ...

Pressure bleeding the brake fluid.
As the owner must replace the rear brake pad, decided to set the fluid level like this on purposely as someone must wind back the rear piston in order to install the new pads and I don’t want to see ...

Compression check data was already sent to the owner.
Due to the FI application, the figure will be affected and the compression itself looked in very good condition although I don’t know about the bottom block.

Bit of rust on the rear bank IG coils but nothing unusual so just checked the spring load and no issues were found.
