    Nothing new/special here.

    Pressure bleeding the system.

The bleeder screw/plug on each calliper was still shiny silver with no corrosion so the thin coat of silicone grease that I applied worked very well.

This NSX has the original ...

  2. Fuel Filter

    by , 25-01-2011 at 10:48 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

I was hoping to visit the Post Office to send out the ABS upgrade loom to another owner but had to finish several meetings with Japan this morning so missed the opportunity.

Will try to find some time this week…

Started to work on another NSX from this afternoon.

For this NSX, I’ll be carrying out the general services as well as replacing the Eng Oil pan.

Also, will be looking into the noise from the CAT ...

New Front Brake Disc from Andy at Vtecdirect.

Always nice to have someone supporting our NSX community and as he owns NSX as well, it is a great advantage in selecting the vendor.

  4. Front Wheel Speed Signal Quality Issue

    by , 22-01-2011 at 11:37 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Time to test drive the car before replacing the Front Brake Disc.

After the brake pedal kick back issue was improved by replacing the Right Drive Shaft and wheel speed sensor, I was hoping to completely solve this by working on the Left side…

    Too easy ….

After the ABS upgrade and before removing the Left Drive shaft, I test drove the car to confirm that the issue was still there and nothing to do with the original ABS ...

  5. Wheel Speed Sensor and Drive Shaft 07

Unless your NSX is for the track day only, you need soft viscosity but strong oil film for the manual transmission oil.

Unlike other Gbox, not all of the gears are submerged in the oil on our NSX.

It circulates the oil by the built-in oil pump which is operated by the Final Driven Gear and spot showers the oil to each component through the hollow shafts so soft viscosity is the key factor until it warms up.
