I’m afraid, this doesn’t look good.

At the bottom of the ABS reservoir, there were lots of black debris and even some silver dust were seen.

Probably, the seal around the solenoids are worn or even the pump may have some problem.

    Replaced the fuel filter.

Probably, very low mileage since the last time it was replaced as the fuel came out from the existing filter was fairly clean.

    New filter with the washers.

Initially, we didn’t include the A/C Climate Control Unit (CCU) in the service menu.

It was a good call to change the plan.

Although the owner didn’t report any issues with his A/C, the CCU capacitors were already leaking and started to bite into the board…

Looks like I'll be spending sometime with this board....

Moving on to the Main Relay Service.

Surprised that the owner didn’t feel any starting issues.

The existing relay was from early 1991 and already showing the sign of soldering crack.

  5. Too tight... Drive shaft 01

    by , 14-02-2011 at 11:01 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Started to work on another NSX.

Before bringing the NSX to my place, the owner tried to take out the drive shaft by himself but he couldn’t remove the spindle nut.

It seemed that at least one of them was never removed in the past.

Based on my advice, the owner took his NSX to HGV garage and asked them to remove the spindle nut using their heavy duty tool.

Apparently, they ended up applying more ...
