So, started removing lots of parts to prepare for the compression check before start of the service.

I’m also going to replace all cooling system hoses and cleaning the A/C evaporator so doing several things in parallel.

The battery is also going to be replaced with a new one and having the blower motor fan out of the way will make the replacement of the coolant hoses much easier so started working under the bonnet.

by , 26-04-2011 at 11:18 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - Private NSX Enthusiast, ex-Honda R&D engineer with F1, Indy/CART background)

The owner took my Health Check service last August and at that time, although it was recommended, the CCU board was not serviced.

It passed all the standard test that I normally carry out during the Health Check and also the A/C gas level was slightly lower than the full but still performing well at that time.

Since then, the owner only covered less than 2,000miles including the long-long journey to my place and reported that the A/C ...

Started to work on another NSX.

There are lots of things to be done including another TB/WP/Valve service, refurbish of cooling system, brake system overhaul, ABS service and so on.

Once again, it’s a Targa model so I have to remove several things before I can even get to the IGN Coil cover.

After deciding on the order of each process, started with the Main Relay service.

    This NSX ...

After servicing the two remaining Front AMPs, all three are ready to be tested on the bench.

As my standard procedure, each AMPs were aged/driven at least 2Hrs with reasonably high signal level to test them under heat.

  5. Blog categories

Recently, I found out that there was a limit on the number of Blog categories allowed.

It is limited to 20 in total including parent/sub categories.

From Blog structure and display point of view, I can understand this limit.

Originally, when I started this Blog, I planned to assign a specific category for each services so that the owner can quickly go back to their service history without going through the archive.
