  1. TH Pedal Cable

    by , 10-08-2011 at 11:27 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

The owner was not happy with the delay in kick-down (AT) process.

Some of them were caused by the rubber carpet trapped under the TH pedal.

Others were simply because of the way the LEV was controlled at the specific condition such as rpm, speed and TH pedal angle.

    by , 09-08-2011 at 11:41 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

When I removed the carpet, I found that the kick plate and speaker box were not even secured to the floor.

The fixing bolts and nuts were not even hand tighten and just placed in the holes to sit there.

    by , 09-08-2011 at 11:40 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

This is not the first NSX for this owner so based on his previous experience, he wanted to have his CCU board serviced even though he is not having any issues at the moment.

    Very good idea.

So, started to remove the centre concole.

Unlike the properly designed ones, this one didn’t have any fixing point and thus, sitting under the TH pedal.

On inspection, it was not allowing the TH butterfly to fully open.

Depending on the position of the carpet, it could even keep the ...

The owner asked me to apply liquid leather but without removing the sticky bits and inspecting the real condition, it will just hide the issue so recommended the owner to first look at the current status. ...
