A/C CCU Board Service

  1. Air Con CCU Board Service 02

    After testing the damaged circuit, listed up the sections that required extra parts to be used to re-create the dissolved track and pads.


    Two jumper wires, two hard wires and four soldering bridges were decided to be used for the repair.

  2. Air Con CCU Board Service 01

    Started to work on another CCU board. The owner also sent in the three Bose speaker AMPs as well so will be working on them later. This is another very good example on the importance of preventative measure. The owner was not feeling any issues at all with his A/C but decided to send the CCU board to my place.Very good decision....Click image for larger version.

  3. Air Con CCU Board Service 03 – Finished

    As the weather forecast was quite good for the day and I had another project away from my place, decided to wake up early in the morning and finish everything within the day for this CCU board.

    Applied the coating and then double checked both side of the board before placing it back into the plastic case.


    It was still cold early in the morning so the coating came out in bit ...

    After listing up all of the damages and deciding the method on how to re-create each of the damaged circuit, started the repair work.

    RM1 had to be cleaned and tested before it can be re-used.



    After this process, the module was re-installed and now all pins showed 4.7K ohm correctly.

    While working on the NSX for TB/WP/Valve service, I have been servicing one CCU board in the background.




    After checking the damaged area, I came to a conclusion that I must dedicate more time to finish the service.
