In the process of rebuilding the Left drive shat as I want to be able to start the engine with MTF inside the GBox soon.


This is how the inboard and outboard spider/tripod should be aligned with 60deg offset.









Had to stop here for the day for emergency support for my main business.

What a time consuming task…






Some of the grease was already dried out and really sticky requiring extra force to remove them.


Cleaned as much as possible and will leave the rest for the jet wash later on.

Refurbished all six rollers at the Right drive shaft.

Normally, Right inboard joint is the first one to cause issue but on this NSX, just normal wear on this side.





As mentioned previously, the trigger teeth at the right side was quite corroded.


The one on the left side was covered in grease…

In the process of planting the needle/pin bearings.


So many of them for each drive shaft and time consuming…..


Left drive shaft rollers overhauled.










Right drive shaft rollers cleaned and waiting to be inspected.


Time to paint the joint ...

After thoroughly washing the parts, started to inspect the Left Drive shaft components.



As expected, due to the wrong offset, there were several unusual markings especially on the outboard joint.
