    Forgot to take the photo of rear bank cam shaft installation so this is in fact after the TB was already installed….

    New TB tension adjuster, adjuster bolt and spring.


    Before installing the TB, cleaned the back panel and surrounding area as much as possible.

    It was also noticed on the WP as well as on the TB tensioner.

    The colour and the material looked to be the same one as the melted potting from the CRK/CYL sensor which is normal on all of NSX but can’t remember seeing so much debris on the cam pulleys.


    WP and tensioner will be replaced with the new one and will try to clean the cam ...
  3. Final touch

    After spending hours trying to re-create the battery drain issue, I still couldn’t make it to happen.


    Even before and after servicing the right side door key cyl, the current consumption stayed at 0.04 – 0.06A and this was the same locking the car from right and left side door key cyl.


    It didn’t make any difference locking the car using unlock/lock switch on both doors or using the lock knob at the top of each door cards. ...

    As mentioned in the past, although the TB itself is the same part between non-JDM and JDM NSX, JDM one will have extra items within the package and thus, uses different part no.

    TB installed and carefully tensioned by locking the crank shaft and tensioning each cam pulley.


    Once done, just check, again and again and again to make sure the timing ...

    When dealing with the liquid gasket, I only have a few minutes before it starts the curing process so not much photo taken during the cam shaft installation.

    Nice looking VTEC rocker arms....



    Removed the old liquid gasket, new O-ring installed, applied fresh engine oil on cam lobe, journal, rocker arm, etc and degreased the area as much as possible.
