  1. Engine Refresh, Health Check – Preparation 04

    While carrying out the A/C CCU function and operation check,
    I noticed loud blower like noise under the bonnet with lots of air
    coming out from somewhere under the motor fan case.
    This video was recorded without running the engine so you will get
    some idea on how loud/noisy it was.

  2. Cooling Sys 02

    While servicing the cooling system, there is not much to report.
    Just keep removing the old parts and replace them with the new ones.

    It’s a very time consuming task. For me, I normally require 8Hrs to complete it.




    Addition to the most time consuming two hoses at the Eng Oil cooler,

    Time for the compression check before start of the service.

    The full figure is already forwarded to the owner.

    #1 cyl: **5, #2 cyl: **0, #3 cyl: **2,
    #4 cyl: **3, #5 cyl: **6, #6 cyl: **7


    All three Rear bank cyl showed lower figure than the Front ones.


    It will be interesting to see the rear bank ...
  4. Blower motor fan

    As I’ll be cleaning the A/C evaporator later, decided to remove the blower motor fan at this stage to get extra room for other services.

    Once again, the lower bolts were completely corroded and the bolt heads were nearly rounded even for the 6 point socket …


    Spent extra time but thanks to the bolt extractor, managed to remove them at the end.


    Will be replaced ...
