    Once the Eng is out, first thing is to check the state of the engine.





    Further investigation revealed that the oil leakage was even more severe
    than originally thought.
    With the state of nearby coolant hoses, etc, already agreed with the
    owner to replace all of the nearby coolant hoses, cramps, etc.

    Kept the oil heater on inside the garage due to cold and wet weather
    forecasted as well as in order to stabilize the digital torque wrench.




    Cleaned the back side of the TB cover plate and replaced all six seals.

    The valve and intake manifold covers washed, degreased and ready for
    touching up the paint.
    Couldn't clean them any further without stripping the original paint so
    it won't look perfect after applying the paint but still, should provide
    huge difference in appearance.

    Before backing off the valve clearance adjusters, checked the
    current valve clearance.
    They were all over the place and #1 exh side were out of the spec.
    Rest of them were at the limit but within the spec.




    All four camshafts looked fine under the initial inspection with
    extra scratch marking at #3 cyl intake cam robe.

    As expected, lots and lots of oil seepage from many places.
    It’s going to take some time washing these off properly.



    The leakage around the rear bank TB back cover/plate.

    Some of the dirt was caused by the drive shaft grease
    being splashed around the area.
