    Rear bank cam shaft installed.



    Although the inside of the engine was not that dirty before start of the service, this will show how far the parts will be cleaned during the service.

    Clean it but carefully not to scratch the cam journal by using super soft leather like cloth.


    Then, apply fresh engine oil around the journal, rocker, cam robe, etc.

    Removed the old liquid gasket and cleaned the area.


    Replaced the O-ring under the no.1 cam holder.

    Before starting, 95% of the area in this photo was covered in black oil/debris.


    Now, you can see the clean engine head metal but hard to wash/clean some of the area.


    Another reason why I prefer taking the engine out even just for TB/WP service because I can't get the brush into some of the narrow area due to the ...

    Quite busy from today and over the weekend so not much time spent on this NSX today.

    Very clean engine.


    Although the rear bank is covered in light brown, it will easily come off by simply wiping off with the fingertip.


    If the owner can carry on using and replacing the good quality engine ...

    As this NSX is at very low mileage, the cam lobe coating showed very little wear.



    Time to clean the engine and scrape off all these old liquid gasket residue.
