    Before backing off the valve clearance adjuster and removing the TB, had a quick look at the state of TB as well as the existing valve clearance.

    As I’ll be using my engine to develop new service menu next year, from now on, I’ll call my existing TB/WP/Valve service as ‘Engine Refresh Service Stage 1’.
    This service is designed for the owners who want to keep and look after their cars for many years as well as looking for the delicate touch and attention to the detail that are very rare with the ordinary services.

    After cleaning the red sealant inside the bolt holes and re-conditioning the mating surface, latest design new WP installed.


    Normally, I prefer carrying out the vacuum leak check at this point but as I already knew there was a slow leakage in the past and waiting for the arrival of the new parts, decided to move onto the next stage.

  5. TB/WP/Valve 04

    [Edit: The TB tension was very low and loose. Because of this, although it looked close enough, there was a question mark on the camshaft alignment at the rear bank especially at the intake side.]


    Backed off all of the valve adjuster nuts in preparation for the removal of camshafts.
