    The standard Health Check service doesn’t include the removal of
    parts for the inspection so the Eng compression check was
    not planned initially.

    I’m glad he requested this because I found several issues
    that couldn’t be found without removing the parts.

    The owner brought the replacement oil filter, new sump plug and
    washer so just replaced them.

  3. Eng Refresh Stage 1 – 01

    The corrosion protection oil is just everywhere inside the engine bay.

    It’s bit annoying because every time when I remove the bolts, nuts or
    any parts, I have to first wipe off the excess oil from them and then
    wipe off my hands before moving onto the next parts otherwise
    it will not only attract further dust

    Although I managed to push back all pistons at the front calipers,
    the movement was not consistent.

    And as expected, there is no way I can re-use them……


    None of the caliper slider pins were seized so it looked like someone serviced them in
    the past but not quite.

  5. Compression Check

    During the annual service, I always recommend the owners to carry out the
    engine compression check to keep eye on the condition of the engine.


    I carried out Engine Refresh on this engine about 2 years ago and
    at that time, I was really pleased to see the identical compression
    result across the cylinders after the service.


    Interesting to see the condition of this engine after 2 years.
