  1. MX5 Engine Refresh – Final Touch

    Replaced the fuel filter.
    Replacing it on NSX is easy if you have access to the air tool but
    MX5 is even easier. No need for the air tool.



    Although it was still operating fine, the pressure sensor at the power steering pump
    showed extra play compared to the new one so probably replace it

    Finally, the heavily corroded stud bolts at the front CAT came off.

    Thank you to member PeterW for sharing his past experience.

    Based on his advice, I wanted to use the hammering feature of
    the power drill to push out the remaining stud bolt stuck inside the
    flange, but due to the fact that the flange was also heavily

    What a dirty front beam…..
    It should be the same colour as the floor.
    All the sticky black thingy is the road film, oil seepage, sand, etc….
    You don’t even want to see the bottom side…..
    It’s just black……

    Again, nothing new here and if you have access to the impact wrench,
    fairly easy task apart from dealing with the petrol.








    Not too bad compared to other NSX but still, ...

    So, decided to work on the Fuel Filter.


    Also my local Honda phoned me that the JDM spec wipers that were back ordered until August magically arrived so went to collect them.
