  1. Wheel Speed Sensor and Drive Shaft 07

    by , 21-01-2011 at 11:17 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)
Unless your NSX is for the track day only, you need soft viscosity but strong oil film for the manual transmission oil.

Unlike other Gbox, not all of the gears are submerged in the oil on our NSX.

It circulates the oil by the built-in oil pump which is operated by the Final Driven Gear and spot showers the oil to each component through the hollow shafts so soft viscosity is the key factor until it warms up.

  4. Wheel Speed Sensor and Drive Shaft 04

Decided to take some rest yesterday and now I'm feeling much better.

Started to refurbish the drive shaft.

Due to the excessive corrosion at the wheel speed trigger teeth, outer joint had to be replaced and I bought used complete drive shaft from my friend.

As my standard procedure, whenever I drain the MTF, the strainer is removed and inspected.

There was very little amount of metal dust so looked like it was cleaned in the past.

Time to go bed as I got cold ...
