    I was not expecting any deliveries from US until mid/Apr so
    when I found the ‘While you were away’ card at the door step on Friday,
    couldn’t figure out what kind of parcel could be.

    Turned out, it was the high current capacity spec relays.

    Collected them from the local depot and considering the weather forecast and
    other projects, decided to finish the EPS service over the weekend.

    Being contacted by one of the garages to
    service the EPS – Power steering control unit.







    It’s the famous ver.023 unit and all of them will eventually
    fail sooner or later.

    After carefully stripping the coating off from both side of the circuit board, the higher current spec relays are now installed.

    Another owner experienced EPS – Power Steering failure with error code #22 so he decided to send in the controller to me.



    His issue seemed to be not permanent because he can at least recover the EPS by resetting the controller and he won’t see the issue until he stops and restart the engine.
