  2. Eng Refresh, Health Check, etc 01

    Started to work on another NSX from last week.
    The service menu is to carry out the Eng Refresh, Health Check, Cooling Sys OH, etc.


    As I have never serviced this NSX, started with the Health Check or I should say I already spotted big issue on arrival.
    When the owner arrived at my place (eng still hot), the coolant level was already below MIN.

    Tow hook cover was missing from the front bumper so new colour coded one
    ordered and installed.
    Hope it will stay there for longer this time.
    Most of the time, it will come off if the bumper was re-sprayed or with the age
    and heat, the rate of warping between the bumper and the hook cover is different

  4. Engine Refresh, Health Check – Preparation 01

    While I was carrying out the emergency repair service on the Oil cooler
    for the blue NSX, I started working on the red NSX.

    The service menu is to carry out Engine Refresh + LMA, refresh the
    cooling system, A/C CCU, etc.
    On the way to my place, the owner started to hear loud popping noise
    from the left door speaker so refurbishing the 3 x Bose speaker AMP were

    So, after bringing the engine to operating temperature with the header tank cap removed, carried out the Engine Block Test.
    The fluid colour didn’t change at all after passing the header tank air through the test fluid for 1min so good result.
    Even a touch of yellow colour means exhaust gas leakage into the cooling system.
