hi guys

very interested in trying to get a hold of this - http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/showthread.php?9813-Honda-nsx-replica-type-r-engine-cover

have contacted the owner and unfortunately for me, he has no intentions of posting the item or having it ready to be collected by a courier service. Just has to be collected in person. I would be keen to bid on this item but I am in NI and I dont know anyone around York direction or nearby that could collect it on my behalf

If there was anyone on here that is near that direction and would be happy to collect for me on my behalf IF I WIN the auction, could you please PM me and let me know; I could arrange for a courier to pick it up from you etc.

Many thanks in advance if anyone looks at thie request else obviously I wont be bidding on this item!

cheers

andrew

Looks like what I have in the loft somewhere. Although I have no interest in installing it with it having nothing to keep it held up and being a rather poor fit.

If it's one of Bert's engine covers, I've always thought they fitted well. The downsides are that they are a bit flimsy and as you point out, they have no support (easy enough to make one though). Looks like Speedy has fitted the Type-R\S prop, assuming it is one of Bert's covers of course.

based on description, dont think there is any mounts are prop's. think he has a pic from another car. based on his seats pic his car is red

Yeah the photos on the car may even be a real Type R cover, I have no idea what a real one looks like though.

Yes, you are right, looks like photos of a real cover. The first photo in the for sale post is the actual cover (without any form of cutout for the prop).

For mine I mate a 'prop' from a piece of wire coat hanger, clad in black heat shrink tubing. It hooks on the catch on the underside of the glass hatch and under the lip of the engine cover. Maybe a bit crude but it's rarely required.
