Hi,

I've been on the look out for an NSX for a while without much look. Good examples seem to be few and far between and when a solid example comes along they seem to be snapped up very quickly.

I've seen the example in the link below advertised on Autotrader for several months now so was hoping somebody might be shed some light on the provenance of the car and whether it's a good example or a pup.

I went along to see this.

Its owned by a guy who sells SMART cars and this was his own car. Said he'd bought it from a chap in Glasgow a few years previous. TBH it was the first car I went to see when I started looking so was browsing rather than had any serious intent to buy it. Mechanically I dont have a clue other than it started up and I let it idle for a few minutes and there was no obvious issues.

Bodily it was 7/10 with a few dings and chips that considering he was in the industry I would have expected him to get sorted. We didnt take it on the road as it wasnt what I was really after (a more recent model/ targa). Some of the panels (especially the rear passenger wing) looked as if it had been resprayed. I think the nose had been done too and had some pitting

Interior pretty clean 7/10 with the drivers seat RHS lumbar support/ leather a bit worn but nothing major. Gas strut(s) had gone on the rear windscreen

Engine looked clean and there were no leaks underneath...thats about as much as I know

Overall a nice enough car but nothing special....just a little tired

Thanks for your input.

Doesn't sound like this one is the best example out there so it looks like I will give this one a miss and wait for one one which ticks all (or at least most of the boxes).
