Little and large

OR

Flat and fat?

But quite a different driving experience!

You're correct Mark, standard Hilux's do roll over.......I've seen the bollards test and it looked completely out of control.......however the Arctic Truck mods include a 6" track increase.....I've had it sideways (by mistake) and it was totally controllable with zero signs of roll over.

Cheers,

Mathieu

Whats it actually like off road compared to a Discovery or something similar then? I can't say i am a pick up fan in general, but must admit i got close to buying a red Ford F150 SVT Lightning once. I also love the new Raptor. Saw one at Spa last year and thought it looked amazing!

No comparison to much really. Due to its increased ground clearance, approach and departure angles are increased, tyres can be let down to 800 gms to aid flotation over snow or mud, then re-inflated with the onboard compressor, rear diff is LSD, the front diff has an ARB locker run from the compressor and if you really do get stuck, the on board winch cradle can be locked to it's front or rear receivers and used remotely.

Here are a couple of photos showing the winch cradle installed:

Apart from its physical size on small tracks, it's pretty much unstoppable.

It's for sale if you're interested.

Could also be "fools seldom differ" but I prefer to stick with your phrase.

It's odd driving one after the other......such a different driving experience!

I have a 2009 Toyota 4X4 truck as my winter beater. Necessary here in Canada. Next month, the NSX will be parked in the garage under cover and the Truck will be full time.
My wife has the S2000 parked for the winter as well. She drives a 2006 Nissan X-trail 4X4 in the winter.

More members to your club than you think!!!

Here's a recent addition to the family..........got rid of the GS1150 (too boring) and bought this.....bags of character: never thought I'd be old enough for one of these BUT...THIS ONE HANDLES, GOES AND STOPS....not much Harley left though.....and look, it's got rear sets not forward controls!
