I have no idea what that bike is, but I did have a Raleigh BMX Burner.

Think they must have been before my time !!!.
Don't think that I have ever seen one,I presume that they weren't around for long was it in the eighties ?

Cheers,

Ian

Takes me back to about 80-81 ish I think?. I had a Raleigh Chopper (Santa Claus had run out of Grifters) and a lad down the road from me had one of these Vectar thingies. Looking back I guess they were kind of Tron inspired but I can't remember the dates that well. I guess Clive Sinclair was thinking along similar design q's with the C5. They came with daft "bug mum & dad" electronic beeps of the time, a speedo and a radio too, so high tech back then...I seem to remember the plastic wheels broke quite easily near the hubs with jumping up & down kerbs and crap wheelies, they were quite heavy....I'm sure they're worth a few bob nowadays......I had forgotten all about them until seeing these pictures....

Damn that's one ugly, and necessarily heavy of course, bike! Neither of which matters a jot when your 10yrs old :)

Like Gary I was a Chopper man myself. Blue series one with a square rear "roll" bar and round (non T-bar) shifter

This is a pic from Le Mans in 2006, the "Beer Mountain" team doing it chopper stylee...
