Walking the mean streets of B&Q saw the following; low entry "Aluminium Racing Jack", can't vouch for quality but at £50 you probably won't buy cheaper in the UK.

Excellant find, seems good value being aluminium & low jacking version.

I'm going to check it out since it looks great, plus mines a bit rusty & heavy.

I have an Arcan aluminium jack -think they are about £80-£90 at the moment in Costco -has quite a good lift capacity and range:

Doesn't look as low-entry or as high-lift as my Sealey 2500LE. But then it probably weighs less than the NSX. I'm not sure that the Sealey does...

I have a Heavy Halfords 3 ton which I have changed a couple of times. I think I paid 80 quid or so, but this one is tempting.

How 'light' is it? Looked at an ally 2t jack in costco which weighed substantially more than my 2t steel one.

PS - what's the max weight too?

I bought one Saturday then one yesterday. I think on the box it says 12/14kg. I thought damn this box is heavy. Didn't realise it was a big proper garage jack (looked small in the pics to me).

With the extended lever on I can get the wheels off the ground in about 2 pushes. The rubber bearing point is about the width of the corner jacking points. I think it says 9-37cm jacking range. It's a 1 ton so no problem jacking one side of the car.

It's jacking point is a lot lower than my small haffords Orange jack. No need to drive my lowered cars onto wood now!

A general good quality feel and look. Bargain at £50.
