Is there any chance of enabling Tapatalk? I use this all the time with my ipod and iphone with NSXPrime. A great tool, that increases the web forum experience. Tapatalk is fully compatable with vBulletin.

Thanks.
Warren

Loading full web pages on a hand held take a lot of time, then you need to zoom to read them. Not with Tapatalk. Easier navigation, threads you have partisipated in are sorted, easy, reply and new thread entries, better view. Not as much data transfered.

from the web page: "Tapatalk for iPhone provides full forum access on iPhone including ability to check private messages, upload photos from your camera and ability to search forum, etc. All with super-fast direct forum access at only $2.99. Tapatalk for iPhone was released on July 2009 with over 30 updates until now. It is currently ranked as Top 10 Social Networking app in Apple app store in United States, England, German, Spain, Sweden, Australia, Canada and in many other countries."

The most used app on my ipad!

Is this your company. Or, are you linked to it in any way? It's just that your original post made it sound like it was something cool you'd found.

No, I am not linked to it in any way, except a user of their product.

+1

Would be great to have something optimised for the iphone, it would make checking in a lot easier for me :)

I hae been pondering asking the same question about the Tapatalk App, as I have it on my iPhone too, and I use it for a few forums (NSX Prime and my footie team to name but a few). It certainly makes like easier for browsing forums on the go.

Hi, all.
Is Blog section supported by the Tapatalk or Forum Runner?

Recently, my 3yrs old mobile phone decided to take a bungee jumping and unfortunately, it hit the floor so had to replace it with a new one.

For those using the 'Tapatalk' or ‘paid’ version of 'Forum Runner', could you advise me on whether you can browse ‘Blog’ section of NSXCB site through these Apps or not?

I have tried free version of 'Forum Runner' and while it was very handy to browse through the ‘forum’ section, it doesn’t seem to support the ‘Blog’ area.

Or, may be I’m asking the wrong question to the wrong person and possibly, I should ask this to the Forum Administrator.

Are these Apps installed on the vBulletin Blog area of NSXCB site?

For me, it’s not a big problem using the classic method of zooming in and out of the web using the mobile phone but would be nice to know before paying the small charge for the Apps as I spend most of the time on the Blog section these days.

Thank you for your advice in advance.

Regards,
Kaz

Hi Kaz,

With the paid for version for android, you dont get access to the blogs, only the forums.

However the blog pages have rss links on them, so you should be able to use any old rss reader.

Give me a shout if you need any more info.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but is the forum still not available on Tapatalk? I use it for most other forums and find it works really well for staying on top of threads whereas the web forum seems a bit clunky on my Android phone but I can't seem to find NSXCB on there - just wanted to make sure I'm not searching for the wrong thing!

It’s on Forum Runner but not on Tapatalk. NSX Prime is on Tapatalk and I’ve been using it for many years.

Both software used to be very good but the company running free version of Forum Runner no longer updates it that it won’t work well on later Android version. Not sure about the paid one or on iOS.
I still have it on my phone but stopped using it as I can’t even register the forum in the 'Favourite' list.

As the traffic on our forum is fairly low, I just use Firerfox, chrome, etc browser software, display in desktop mode, hit ‘What’s New?’ tab and browse through it.

Tapatalk used to be great especially when used on the forum with lots of traffic.
I still use it when browsing through NSX Prime as I'm not interested in 'For Sale' post, etc.
With huge amount of traffic over there, hitting 'Whats New?' tab just shows so many threads that I'm not interested so Tapatalk used to be very handy for filtering the new threads.
However, for quite some time, they seemed to introduce new issues when trying to fix another one when releasing the updated software and nowadays, big Ad showing up (at least on the free version) so although I still use it, not good as it used to be.
The latest version seemed to be fine and useful for filtering but who knows what will happen in the next update….
Again, don't know about the iOS version.

I don't know how much the tapatalk addon costs for vBulletin or whether it can live together with Forum Runner (in case someone still using it).
I'll ask forumadmin on his view as he is the one working on the database/backbone for us.

Personally, as long as it doesn't cost a lot or eats up the memory slowing down the system, I think we can at least test it for a certain period before committing to it.
As always, not easy to make everyone happy on application development.....

Thanks Kaz, glad I'm not just being thick and missing it!

Interested to see if tapatalk capability could be added on - it might not mean much with a low traffic site but then again it might help increase traffic too...
