Simon, how long were you parked at the Ford garage? They appear to have stuck a rather large sign through your roof! An attempt to stop such a great looking car leaving maybe

looks sweet mate, got to say that I think the rear lights look fantastic... they were the best bit of the maserati - is that what you got them off?

22-12-2005, 04:27 PM
A big thumbs up on the NSX & S2 combo, but have to say I'm not a fan of the body mods to the Prelude.
Personnally I would have spent the money on chassis, brakes and engine breathing, or maybe have developed your own Type R version of the S2?

Hi Simon,

Looking great, as said before love the Maser lights 8) , they really suite the Lude.

Your cars are all looking great, think the green Murci will tie them together pretty well though

Not worth it, it's only a 2.0, totally show no go.

After an Octagenarian ruined the front end of the car in Oct 04 I just used the Insurance cheque to respray the car and add a new front end etc. Always loved the Maserati lights so basically gave the bodyshop a few pieces of GRP the lights and a can of paint.

This is what they produced 14 months later so I am fairly happy.

As for trying to make the car go faster, I have the NSX, S2000 and a DC2. Don't need another fast car.

A big thumbs up on the NSX & S2 combo, but have to say I'm not a fan of the body mods to the Prelude.

Just in case anyone else hadn't heard of that word it means:

4 entries found for octogenarian.
oc·to·ge·nar·i·an ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kt-j-nār-n)
adj.
Being between 80 and 90 years of age.

n.
A person between 80 and 90 years of age.

Thanks for enlarging my vocabulary Simon  Makes sense now remebering my Latin from school...'octo' is 8 if I remember correctly... :?

yep - there can be no obstacles permitted in the quest for NSX ownership, so if your current wife is not playing ball, just be patient - the right one will come along eventually.

Just though you might like to see this from the NSX factory, I came across it on Prime, sorry if it is a re-post here! I know the second one is off topic, but I for one just can't get enough of the pics of the cars in their natural glory!

Cheers,

Hi Simon,

For some reason mine has started doing exactly the same out of the blue, has done it for about 6 weeks now. Any ideas why, it looks aweful, and even when I drive with the hetaed rear windscreen on (which turns itself off after a bit) it only clears to the top, normally one corner as in your pics. I absolutely hate it  ...any ideas?

Matt.

simonprelude

I am going to try RainX anti fog, see if that works, will use the wipes instead of the liquid though. The RainX normal one in the wipes has brought the windows (externally) and mirrors up a treat and a lot better in the Rain.

Now very confused ??

Manufacturer HONDA
Model NSX
Body type 2 DOOR SALOON
Colour RED
Fuel type PETROL
Date manufactured 31 December 1990
Number of previous owners 0
Last owner change 15 August 1990

TheQuietOne

Surely someone owned it....

simonprelude
03-02-2006, 04:02 PM
As far as I know the Orange one that Autocar have is still owned by them as it was used recently in a comparison with the 350Z. But the thing that confuses me is it says red, clearly is Orange in the photo's, if it is a 1990 car then Orange wasn't available. Also I think it is one of Autocar's MD's cars.

Is the larger Recaro from an Accord? I like the blue Spooness, very nice!

You didn't tell us you had a Del Sol as well, you'll be able to fill a museum soon  Have you found anywhere big enough to get your fleet all in one shot yet, would be a nice sight?!

simonprelude

The one with the white writing is from a DC5 (Integra) the other is the standard DC2 (Integra) seat.

If you look behind the Del Sol there is also a visiting S plate Civic :)

But yes, 5 cars at home usually. Not had chance to line them all up, was going to do it on Sunday until DynoRod turned up to unblock the drains and spoil the plans. Still took the NSX out for a spin afterwards.

actually with all of Simon's skinny 1s on his plate there will be a lower area of black lettering - when you take this into consideration for front and back plates he will be saving about a quater of a gram and thus his car will be faster!!!

Anyway we all know the lude is not built for speed ...... with that spoiler it must be purely designed for handling! 8)

(and the looks of course!)
