Very good Sudesh, but we really have 2 ft of snow :eek: , but I've got an R reg Honda CR-V with 120,000 miles on the clock and SNOW TYRES:)

You still got ět? LOL. Don't forget under the floor of the boot is a set of chains as well. Though is has to get really bad to need those. I have seen cars driving round Lausanne last night with chains on for the first time.

We have just as much snow as you, plus hills (I live at 800m), and I can count the number of cars stuck here on zero fingers. Why does the UK public have to blame the Gov for something drivers should take care of themselves? Typical bloody country. Yes main roads get cleared but not until the evening. There can be a day's snowfall on them until then. My village is not cleared at all, and it's -7 at night. Locally it was -30 somewhere last night.

It is because ,on average,we might only get 1 or 2 days snow a year in any particular area and we don't see the point on paying money for snow tyres and/or chains that we may never need.
I am not saying that is right,but that is how it is.

The good old Chevy Sierra 350 with studs loves the snow...mostly i have it in Rwd ;)
