I am seriously considering going down this weekend to buy this car but would want to know abit more about the car before I part with my cash?

Is its previous owner on here or anyone that can shed light on its past?

http://dealerservices.autotrader.co.uk/142737/showroom.htm

Thanks in anticipation of your responses.

It has been discussed on here a few times, can't remember by who though?

For anyone else it's at the bottom of page 3 on the link above.

Sorry i dont know anything about that car in particular apart from to say it's been on the market about 2 months. Or least that's when highline got their hands on it, as it appeared about 2 days before i bought mine.

Seats are a bit worn...Auto..done 100K.
Body work seems good ....hmmm..Ferrari wheels lookalike.

See if you can knock a monkey off the price at least for refurbing the interior or changing the wheels etc.
Check the tyres to ensure they aren't cheapie Wanli-like product.

Hi Salim,

Observations from the link supplied ... I've not seen the car in person.

Aftermarket wheels in need of refurb
Aftermarket exhaust (or tips at least) - is it CAT back only, de-catted, or include other changes?
Bonnet and headlamp alignment - needs correcting but why is it out anyway - look closely for signs of repairs
What suspension is it on - appears to low to be OEM and therefore may be an issue for you with speed humps / driveway access
Seats and centre console leather worn on all edges so will require connelising to refurb

In addition, you need to see the written proof of competent servicing and age related maintenance, otherwise if you need to get these jobs done you could spend about 30% of the purchase price of this car completing the work.

As Ary says, cheap may make you smile today, but cry 2mrow ....

For few ££ more, this might be a alternative http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201020359299554/sort/priceasc/usedcars/model/nsx/make/honda/postcode/ss75st/radius/1501/page/1/quicksearch/true?logcode=p

Good luck, and remember to have a good look through the Health Check and Refresh threads, and to review the Before you Buy thread for information on what to look for and be aware of when buying the NSX.

Once you've found the right one for you, I'm sure you'll enjoy as much as we all do!

regards, Paul

Slight tangent, the Merak from that same dealer looks stunning.

Some of the detailing's to a high standard, but it loses the subtlety of the Merak.

Those Ferrari facsimiles are quite unusual and would be tempting - far better than the usual 240Z kit car rubbish.

O/T - if that's the standard of Joe's stock, I'd imagine it would be worth paying dealer margin for that NSX - if you can live with a slushbox.

This one it was for sale on ebay a few months ago and it had been sold for about 9k or less....It had been sold once, the buyer never appeared as the seller said, and it was listed again and sold less than the first time....
This all what i know about this car :)

I've not been to see that one, but i do know it's been on autotrader for close to year, and started life off at 19K

You can tell from the pics though that it's got a non standard exhaust.

From what i remeber the only reason i didnt go look at it was because the dealer was a bit of a pain to get an appoitment with.

+1 for Joe's, looks like a seller comfortable with exotics. If I wasn't set on a manual this would be firmly in my sights.

Back to the original topic, can anyone identify the nicknack on the dash of L666NSX? Looks like maybe some nasty maplin kit between instrustment binnacle and a-post???
