Another thing I noticed is the seats or seat material, looks like the NA1 NSX-R.

Nice!

I see it has a standard wheel.

Was the Momo wheel an option on the R?

I assumed it was on all of them...

Standard steering wheel was for UK type approval, as were the non NSX-R headlights.

Ah. Of course! The air bag.

I know airbag was option on the Type-S, but was it not the same for the NSX-R?

Good spot on the headlights Simon!

Nothing wrong with the R lights. :)

Sudesh, he had the only NA2 in the UK, there were two, but one was shipped back to Japan by Honda UK.

What's the difference between NA2 NSX-R lights and regular 02+ lights? Were the -R lights HIDs?

The backing is also White as opposed to Silver.

I posted this in the 'Will he, Wont he" Rocco thread a week ago .....

I thought something was up with the seats, but might just be the detailing of the car and photo angle. NA1 & 2 seats are slightly different from what I've seen of side by side photos on Prime.

Anyway, at that money, I guess there's a risk it could be leaving the UK forever.....

From the interior pic, seats are NA2, must have been the lightning as Paul suggested.

Nice pics

I can't quite believe that an NA2 -R would be worth such a premium, though. Yes, it's rare and yes, it's "better" than a standard 3.2 coupe, but 4x better?? At this price, it'd be heading for a collector, surely...

Someone told me that it sold for A LOT less than a brand new facelift car at the time but it came with conditions etc.

NA2 lights are not hid and AFAIK lack the self leveling adjustment.

For JDM, all models had HID as a standard equipment from 1999 onwards except for Type R and Type S-Zero.

For NA2 Type R, HID was available as a factory fitted option and it forces the owner to include the rear defog circuit at the engine hatch glass.

None of the JDM NSX had self levelling adjustment through its entire history.

Slightly less ;)

I almost bought a Porsche 993RS (LHD) 5 yrs ago for £34K, an identical car with similar mileage is advertised this week for £77K.

A friend of mine bought an Aston Martin DB4 GT a few years ago for £14K but that doesn't stop it being worth £200K today.

My point, what a car sold for a few years ago doesn't necessarily determine it's value today... or tomorrow.

Cheers

Surely it will have to sell first before we can determine its value?

That's really interesting. Subtle if I can call it that.

Great pics from the shoot.

Who's the new lucky owner?

I guess the question is, did it sell from that Performance Car magazine advert or is Fuzilov still selling it?

Another member told me he got it for a very fair price originally, so he's certainly making/made money on it.

Assuming he sells it for anywhere near asking.
