Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there are any people out there than are aware of the Le Mans cars' history?

Of course, the class winning GT2 car is (as far as i know) still in the Honda museum. I know some of you were relatively recently at the museum, so could confirm this.

However, my question is, how many did they actually make? Confusingly, this article suggests chassis no.1 was sold abroad the USA by the Christies auction house.

I have now been contacted by someone in the US saying that they are selling 'a' NSX GT2 car that, although with some modifications, seems to look the same as the GT2 Le Mans car(s). I believe it is this car:

If any light can be shed on this, i would appreciate it greatly. I've spoken to John Thompson (who designed both GT1 and GT2 cars) and he says all GT1 cars were destroyed. I suppose Honda don't like to remember their failures!

Cheers,
Rob

Now THAT would be the ultimate collectors NSX.

I suspect it would also be eligible for classic racing in a few years...how cool would that be? (assuming someone had both the required money and talent...)

Just a guess but the buyer is not going to just look at that pic and click on paypal,
It's a very rare stunning car, probably commanding more money than a SuperGT. :)
