I know that the subject of detailing has been discussed on this forum before but given the time of year I thought it would be good to have my new NSX professionally detailed despite being in excellent condition.

I have neither the time, resources nor patience to do this myself so have been researching the subject. The most convenient for me is Extreme Detailing near London where I am based. Do members have any experience of them? It is encouraging that their web site prominently features an NSX.

Or does anyone know of competent alternatives in the south east?

Thanks

David

I would heartily recommend Lee (TangoMan) who runs Extreme Detailing.

It is my car which appears on the 'Treatments' page

There is a full write up with pictures of the work Lee carried out on my car here:

Lee is spending a day 'freshening up' Y1 in a couple of weeks time.

I know he has also worked on a number of other NSX's here.

Here is are few snaps, including Y1 ready for a part in the remake of Tron!

A more comprehensive set of pictures can be found in the linked thread on S2ki.

If detailing is what Jaytip had done to the paintwork of mine before I bought it I would heartily recommend it also.

The Zymol finish is phenomenal and smooth as you like. I will have had the car two years in July and it still looks A1

Thanks guys, that all I needed to know. The picture of the NSX on the webpage had me convinced anyway.

Paul - I am based in Wandsworth, the non-dodgy end.

Cheers,

David

Ian, that would make a good members article for this site :) It shouldn't take too much effort to amend it as such.

I think the process is to send your text document and pictures to an administrator (Kevin or Matt) who then formats it and publishes it.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark,

I am of course happy to do this and will sort something out over the next week or so.

I too have had Lee work on my NSX and was pleased with the results.

My reason for asking about location is that Kelly of KDS comes highly recommended. I will be taking mine there later in the year.

Where to start... :D

We moved to Rainham (middle-class commuter belt stuff) when I was 7, grew up there, then I went to War'k Uni at 18, and I never really went back to Kent after that.

Not that Coventry's that much better, but I've got good friends up here and I didn't have to work in London (as a trainee acc't I'd have had to go to London for any decent jobs if I lived down there), which has been a BIG bonus!
