What are the differences between the different models?

I am mainly interested in the rear bumper, is the uk bumper different from the US rear bumper?

I know also the US don't have front fogs.

What else is different?

But my main question is the rear bumper as i would like a Downforce carbon surround and wondering if it would fit.

It wont fit unless you have a JDM car.

Visually & rear bumper aside, UK cars have the horrible black headlamp jet spray nozzles on the front bumpers! :( Also front and rear direction indicators are built into the front and rear wings on the US models and the exhaust tips are different too.

Plus the Americans have their steering wheel on the wrong side ;)

aparrently, all 3 have slightly different colour rear lamps.... for some unknown reason!

Rear bumper in UK "type EU" is specific for a large licence plate.

Acura or JDM Honda are same.

Acura have (91 -93):
toolbox smallest
gear box ratio (2-3-4) higher

no fog light, no head light washer

JDM toolkit is different as well, also they have the red flare in the passenger footwell.

Some EU cars have a tow hook cover on the rear bumper.

Gear ratios on some models.

Interior specs.

In a sense, a lot and a little. :)

Various Speedo differences between them all
Interior Door Lights are clear on JDM - US
Interior Trim Is Coated differently [electro plated] Color is different too
4 button console behind gear leaver has different button setups
3rd brake light standard on JDM & US
Cruise Control Buttons Differ on JDM and UK
JDM has different headliner [i think]

I'm sure there is more but cant think right now lol

Jaffa... had you still not bought one? it's been long enough - Pull the trigger, Dude.

...although I still look at some of the "super cheap" mint 300zx's going right now and find myself saying "what the heck"...
whenever i drive my NSX, I say "no way"

...have to say I am very tempted by Minch's. but do like the sound of the Black JDM one. ;)
-you've put the thought back on my mind this a.m. hmmm...

The yanks don't have a rear foglight, I want one.
They don't have headlight washers which everyone already knows I want them.
We have to buy the front fog lights from the U.K., i'll take some.
We don't get the centre console switches unless you get them from S.o.S. or Dali which I have thanks to Sudesh.
They don't have the half height aeriel which I got from Sudesh.
There is no rear tow hook cover, don't want one.
Yes, the steering wheel is on the wrong side, and its a b!tch to drive from the proper side.

Nigel, I can't believe after all this time, you still haven't got those headlamp washers!! :)

US cars also have that annoying beep sound when you have door open and have left the key in the ignition...

The sound deadening material is also different. Or at least.. JDM and EUDM cars make more noise in the cockpit.

US cars also have those ugly reflectors on the fenders.

I finally bought the "nozzles" from the Honda dealer over in Nassau but the cost of a complete system a piece at a time is WAY to expensive for all the bits.
The beep on my car was cured by "Sudesh".
He posted a step by step to render it off without bodging up the works.
Still looking for the washer system.
Hoping for a rear fog light and switch.
A front set of fog lights for cheap woud be nice as well.

JDM do that too!!! do you have a 'ding-dong' bell when you're in reverse??

USDM has auto locking doors (when you hit 10mph ish).

My alarm does that quite handy with little passengers.

I posted way back, the easiest way to remove the "beep" when the key is in the ignition.

http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/testvb/showthread.php?t=4634&highlight=BEEP

Auto lock can also be disabled easy enough.

Never heard of the ding dong when in reverse lol?

I presume on USDM models that the clutch pedal has to be pushed out before the engine can be started too....

I stand corrected.
It was "Sudesh" not Kaz that posted the procedure for nixing the beep-beep.
Short and to the point. Great post.
The clutch "does" have to be depressed before the starter will engage unless you disable it.
No reverse beep unless your on your John Deere or had it installed on your NSX.
I have a '92 and the alarms are near impossible to have and i'm one that doesn't have one so don't know about the door locking part.

Cheers

must be a JDM quirk! it's funny, because my UK '97 prelude had the same 'ding dong' as the lights on reminder!

Mine is JDM? But never had that. I did have it on some other imports I had but they were usually AUTOS.
