Stelvio in September... near blizzard at summit! [Archive]

We went up the Stelvio pass today, from the Italian side (heading for Davos via Livigno).

Apart from a pre-ABS wheel locking moment on a slippery descent whilst overtaking someone slow, the NSX handled itself beautifully, as one would expect :)

Wow! snow in September in the Alps already!

Have great time driving Ewan, but drive safely too.

One day I will have a go as its one of my dreams and just watched a rerun of TG, when they did this route in the GT3 RS, N24 & Superleggra!

As they say... "if you don't like the weather here, just wait 5mins (and it will change)" :)

Here'a a pic of me at the top (of the Stelvio pass) at almost the exact same time of year, to the day, back in 2006. The weather was beautiful (at least for 5 mins) as you can see.
