Have to say I quite like it! and if I wasn't on the NSX-R route and sticking as close to OEM as possible, I would have a go at installing the cluster too. I actually reseached it a couple of years ago and came accross this link: http://www.marklamond.co.uk/products/s2000/s2000.htm

It's a shame it doesn't fill the cluster a bit more. I think the alu plate looks awful and the matt black looks much better... the cf doesn't really look right in this set up.

Hats off to these guys for putting so much work in - with the Matt black I think it look great.

Personally I think the digital speedo is good. Handy when travelling in Europe as you can instantly go from MPH to KMH.

I agree with the pod filling aspect. Maybe a carbon backplate would look better rather than Silver?

Except people will be able to tell your speed as they drive by. :)

It looks good, still amazed that Honda never tought of this for the NSX.

I've got the AP2 dash with wiring. The 08-09 is even nicer!

When motorbike dashes started coming out like this 10 or so years ago I wasn't sure but eventually I accepted and even liked some....

The S2000 dash does in my opinion look a little dated and Knight Rider'ish with the red lighting and painted on graphics on the lens but this mod may go a long way to modernising the look....I quite like the white led markings if some red can be retained to tie in the factory look

Mutley & Amo, I've emailed the guy in the US about the trim plates as I am going over there near the end of the month. I am awaiting a reply on availablilty. I would go for plain black and Jim I think you said the same? Amo am I correct to assume you'll be Carbone' ?!?!

Of course it needs to be made to work as well.......

Gary,

Yeah I would want the black, wasn't too keen on the carbon look pic he posted on prime. As we discussed maybe it was a lighting issue but I think black is "safe".

Anyhoo I can only seem to get my hands on the older AP1 dash, I pm'd him and he agrees that the AP2 (2004-5) is better suited for the NSX. Might keep hunting see if I can get one of those the re-sell the older one.

Did you get yours from your "usual" supplier? If so do you know if he'll have any more?

Jim

Amo, which dash unit dod you get?

Hi Jim,

I got mine through ebay, a breaker in Manchester. Be aware that the AP1 and AP2 wiring is different so any mini-harness from the US would not be interchangeable. I've asked the guy in the US if he'd be willing to provide the wiring details to save waiting on harness manufacture.....for a nominal fee!! Which maybe we could split depending on what it is......still awaiting a reply.

To be honest I'm not all that sold on the half moon fuel and temp gauges of the AP2.....I think when lit white as in the link in my last post, the AP1 looks nicer. I just like the daft idea of the outside temp sensor etc of the AP2....seems a bit more modern then!! Sad I know.....

I think AMO got a 2005 AP2 unit.

Yeah I'm not too worried about the shape of teh gauges, just thought about the redline bit (8k on 2004/5 rather than 9k on others).

but either way, could be a nice wee mod on the cars

I don't like either. DB9 dials, now they are nice. Should have something classy in the NSX, not boy racery.

(says he with the boy racy car)

I really like this setup and if I had a spare car and time, I think I could put the same setup together including the centre console and wheel
