Just in case anyone is thinking about buying one.......mine melted in the heat from the sun.
It's a sticky gloopy mess. any tips on how to clean it off appreciated.

If you can't clean it off I think you should cover the dash in Alcantara....

Good luck though.

the only thing I can think of would be white spirit or something along those lines.

A hairdryer (medium heat rather than high) and white spirit or WD40 maybe?

.....have you tried contacting the company that makes then? Seems like a schoolboy error on the design front. Might be able to get them to suggest a suitable cleaning fluid, and compensate you for your trouble maybe....

If only I'd kept the packaging, I would hae written to the manufacturer and sent the photos. Doh! Never thought I would need it at the time. I can't even remember who it was.

Have managed to get it off quite well using White and Methylated spirit alternatively. Thanks for the suggestions.

Lesson learned - Dont use non-slip mats or remember to remove from the dashboard every time.
