Since parting with my 300ZX a few weeks ago, I haven't been able to come to terms with the idea of the empty space in my garage.
To be honest on my last leave I had a look at a couple of Gallardo's, but as I will not be parting with the NSX, another 2 seater + the cost wasn't the most popular choice in our household, apparently I was being selfish.
Anyway last week this popped up, at a fantastic price, still with full manufacturers warantee, couldn't be more different from a Lambo, but at least it does have back seats - just.

Very good choice sir.:D I'm also running a black cat as my daily driver at the moment, to say it's differant from the NSX is a bit of an understatement!

Looking at the seats and wheels I'm guessing it has the 4.2 Super charged engine rather than the old 4 litre.

I will confess to knowing a little more about jags than any other make as my dad has had nearly evrey single model variant since the launch of the XJ40 in the 80's. He is running at the moment a current shape XK and an X308 XJ-R 100.

Absolutely correct sir, I know what you mean about the difference in driving experience, I used to own an XJ6 3.2 sport when I 1st bought my NSX, and jumping between the 2 couldn't have been more different, both in a good way though.

Very nice looking car. I am not a big fan of GTs but after driving a Jag my father in law used to own quite a few years back I could appreciate the reason people buy them. Is like being in a nice smoking room that goes very quick!

Well I would have said that the vents in the bonnet point to the XKR more than the seats and wheels!!
I also looked at one of these before the NSX, but wasn't rare enough. Was looking for something you don't see often at the time, hence the NSX.

Damn fine choice though.

My BM is getting a bit worse for wear and I'm thinking X-type to replace. Tempted with M5, but that plus an NSX is a bit overkill I think.

535d + emaps upgrade + quiafe diff = you'll smoke an M5 in the real world!

My boss has this exact set up and jeez is it quick yet still turns 40mpg

Jim, the vents just let you know it's an XKR but the seats and wheels let you know which engine 4.0 or 4.2 litre V8

Paul.
