Just added a 1996 manual t top, 72k, to my stable. Need advice please on
1. air intake/exhaust upgrade
2. sound system upgrade.

Am in Cork, Ireland so I'm very limited over here for parts and servicing. I would imagine there are only a handful in the country. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Exhaust in order of preference or shall we say price:

Gruppe M
GT One/Gt Designs
Tubi
Taitec

Intake

OEM,
Gruppe M
Mugen
Apexi/Fujita

Sound system, I'll leave that to others. :)

Welcome and congrats on buying the right model ... a Targa ;)

I'm running with Haywood&Scott exhaust, high flow CATs and the Procar intake .... great sound when you want it plus the combo works well together to release the ponies :)

As forr sounds, I've ditched the OEM and run an Alpine head unit with a genesis amp and diamond high end speakers ... takes some beating IMHO.

Make surer you touch base with Sudesh as he's also in Ireland and can source parts and has done some great work to his NSX

regards, Paul

I have the Titec GT exhaust and Procar intake and wish I had high flow CAT's:cry:
These are very simple and cheapish mods which IMO enhance the NSX.

Welcome to the Club by the way.

All the best Paul.

Hi and welcome along!

Good to see another member from Ireland!

[Paul thanks for the kind words]:)

Cant personally speak for Dali but you should have a look at this thread.

Do a search on here or NSX prime on Dali.

Regarding DC Sports there are mixed reviews regarding fitment issues and durability of the headers desing.

Taitec headers or even a set of OEM NA2 are great value for money.

I would say that the only ones I have not had issues with have been SOS, just make sure they have it in stock and be ready to pay the Tax etc when it arrives.

Cheers,

You could also try Vtec Direct in Vendors section, but speak to them in person as they are unlikely to have the part in stock and will need to order from Japan.

With regards to the supersucker apexi intake IIRC it did not perform well on a Dyno test we did a few years back.

Hi Ed, & welcome... I'm in Wexford, and yes we are a rare breed over here. I have a Dali SS Rice Rocket on my silver 95 Targa, sounds great when trottle is open, but is a bit drooney at 2,600 to 3,000 rpm which is about 115 - 120 k in 5th... mind you I also have bigger wheel fron & reat so that changes everything, so now I have no clue what speed I'm doing...
Anyway enjoy....
