After a cursory flick through the first few pages, I normally go to the inside back page to see which car Richard Bremner focusses on this week in his "all the cars I've never bought" - finishing with "Reasons to want one", "why you'll run a mile" and "one we found".

Guess what? This week (17th June) it's the Honda NSX... I'll scan a copy later and upload it.

Reasons to want one
The raw bellow of that potent V6; the physical thrill of hard-charging bends; Honda reliability.

Why you'll run a mile
It eats rear tyres like a dragster; it feels as long as a truck; living with that 1980s executive interior.

One we found
1991 Honda NSX 3.0, red, 57,800 miles, full service history, £13,250, pistonheads.com

Good find Ewan, I'll get a copy for my library :)

On a related note I picked up a copy of Practical Performance Car (PPC) on my travels and noted that next months edition has an article/buyers guide on the NSX. I guess this is the one Tom posted about a couple of months ago. Here... http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/testvb/showthread.php?t=6301

I hope he got to see a car in the flesh and indeed get a ride in one before writing the piece.

Cheers

Mark

Great find Ewan! Any write up these days prove that the NSX is a very special and rare car. Alot of knowledgable car writers know it's reputation and its place amongst the greats!

It was Bremner that did the review of the 3.2 when it was launched, for Car magazine. 5 stars if I recall. Got the magazine at home somewhere.

"it feels as long as a truck" Well, that's original at least. Not a clue what they're getting at though.

Long as a truck my a--e! Thats part of the NSX unique appeal compared to other similar cars! Its slightly longer wheel base stretches the car's profile, but I wonder how it would have looked without that boot, maybe a foot shorter? Having said that, the boot is very handy & more practical than certain rivals!

I enjoyed reading this as I awaited the RAC to recover my car when returning from Silverstone yesterday:angry:

(Yes my NSX, hard to believe I know)
