Hi guys my 99 nsx has just done 31K I was wondering if I need to replace the Cam Belt ASAP or if I can wait say another 6 months. I know the America Service calls for it after 7 years yet the EU one at 6 so am I safe or should I get it done now ?

If it's never been done, I'd have it changed (but then I'm overcautious)

Of course, it may be good for a while longer but then if it goes you're looking at £££££££.

And the best place when the time comes is ??? There is Ryland Honda near me, but I think they see an NSX every leap year. Their mechanic is very knowledgeable about NSXs and seems to like them a lot, but, are there any dealers near Cardiff ( 150 miles or so, that are good for this )

Cheers

BTW Are there differences between the T Belt in an American NSX and a EU one, how come ours is only good for 6 years and 60K and the American is good for 7 years 105 K ? ( 97 and up)

I'm sure they are the same thing - except for the price

ours are only $125.00 if that helps.

I had my nsx cambelt done at Bristol Honda, found them to be miles cheaper than NSX Dealer prices. I ended up having a week end in bath for the same price as just the cambelt would have cost. Give them a ring. They looked after the car well too, which goes a long way in my mind.
