Glad to hear you have finally found one and realising that the looks are only a small part of the appeal of Nsx ownership.

First thing for me that lived up to expections was the induction noise. Having read an article in autocar a couple of years ago where the car pundit was recalling the first time he drove one, he said that the stereo was pointless as the induction noise was so addictive. He made sure he took all his friends out just so they could hear the induction noise as well.

Have to say personally I was disappointed initially with front end turn in but this may of been partly due to the years spent in front wheel drive cars. That said I have since fitted the Type R front anti roll bars and chassis bars and for me this made a huge difference.

Every time I get in the Nsx it puts a smile on my face even if it's only to move it out of the garage.........

Bought a 02 LBB car....:)

I have to say I almost got caught out by the front end steering as well......I thought it was just me used to my 4wd.

It needs a lot more steering to turn the car

A genuine NSX-R one will cost QUITE a few grands!

Best bet is to get a replica.

Procar here sells some nice ones and there are a host of vendors in the US.

Cheers,

Congratulations on your purchase, and welcome to the club. You don't happen to live in Kent? I only ask as I saw an 02+ in LBB on Friday morning and is always rare to see another NSX.

Paul.

Welcome and congratulations on a great looking colour & condition! :)

SS, theres a great article in Autocar I think? back in 2002 when the NA2 02+ just came out & it was compared it to the GT-R R34 V spec! Must try to find it if I've still got the article?

Luke definitely has the article as I gave it to him for scanning. The 02 press car (with more oomph than standard) easily beat the R34 but came a close second to the 996 IIRC.

Hi and welcome,

Look after it and it will look after you! If you want more front end feeling then you could install the NSX-R chassis bars and roll bars, together with the Type S rear bar (to keep f2r balance)... the yanks call them sway bars BTW.

Chassis: http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/index_browse_part.cfm?focus=1033

R front arb: http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/index_browse_part.cfm?focus=1824

Rear arb: http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/index_browse_part.cfm?focus=1976

Changing & adding these bars will reduce bodyroll and add steering feedback, but by retaining all other OEM suspension parts, you will not noticeable reduce the ride quality. HTH.

I'm guessing your Q about the NSX-R rear spoiler is based on cosmetics rather than function? If it is cosmetic then you have several options.
If you want OEM fitment for less ££ but intend on leaving the exposed CF finish, then, as Ary suggests, Procar is by far the best on the market (and worthy of sitting on your beautiful 02 LBB).
If you intend to color co-ordinate then save more ££ and buy from the US, from someone like Downforce http://downforce.biz/cart/home.php?cat=265, or check www.NSXPrime.com (http://www.NSXPrime.com) in the vendor section for more options.

If you are SE based I look forward to meeting up soon.

regards, Paul
