No surprised the lardy hyper car didn't go to the top of the power board! Too heavy, too much power, even with 4WD far too much tyre squeal most of the way round!! The Zonda F was stunning and that F1 noise was 10 times better than the Bug! Hope Santa puts one in my massive stocking! :)

As for CF body that would have Paul S on his knees! :D

And is precisely the reason that Bugatti haven't provided a factory car for a timed lap, with or without their own test driver pretending to be the Stig. Prior to watching the programme, I was told that the Bug was a repo car so the owner offered it to the Beeb to play with before it got taken away.. ...

As for the exposed CF on the Zonda .... James, if I ever entered and won the lotto, that car would be next to my NSX the very next day. I am firmly in the Hamster camp with this one. It has the looks, the sound, drama, everything is right ... even if totally wrong for the current climate.

A quick story .... In the year they launched the Zonda, the 'London' motorshow was held at Canary Wharf. A great outdoor experience, that had a few special cars displayed in the main entrance of the tower. Included was the then show only AM Vanquish (took my breath away with its precence), some orange lambo thingy with weird doors ;), and the Zonda.

The 'escort' for the Zonda (his badge title!!) was very approachable and spoke with great passion for the car. He clearly loved the drama of this car as do I and the Hamster. During our chat he described that when they had driven the car into the building, they had calls from the 10th floor with people thinking there was an earth quake

I asked if he was able to start the car and to my surprise, he said that if I returned after 8pm then he was allowed to run on tick over. I did return, with a few other enthusiasts to experience a truly great sound.

All of sudden I feel like buying a lotto ticket .... :)
