:D
That's what I need.
I maybe a bit dim but I can't find any kind of newbie guide here, you know the type of thing, buyers guide of what to look for, what to avoid, known problems, model year difference, typical running costs, etc, etc

Anyone point me in the right direction, or even provide some answers to the above. Please. :P

Also can you reccomend someone to carry out a pre purchace inspection ( other than a Honda stealer

Cheers

If you look on www.nsxprime.com and look in the FAQ you will find answers to most of your questions,
Hope this helps.

nsprime is a nice site but of course primarily for the US market. What I was looking for was info on UK cars, ie service bullletin's issued by Honda UK, Models effected by snap ring issues, model year changes etc.

If these are hidden away on the site please show me where

Could we collate this type of info, which will be invaluable to prospective owners such as myself?

No, they're not hidden away - AFAIK, the information on NSX prime is as relevent for UK models as for USA ones. Especially snap-ring range, model years (they may have got theirs a year earlier in some cases) and general maintenance. The specs are the same. The Service manual is the same (taking into account LHD/RHD differences etc)

Honda UK are not forthcoming with service bulletins (they didn't even issue one for the snap-ring issue), so we don't have a lot to work from there, sorry.

With the exception of EMC, a 1991 NSX in the USA is the same as one from the UK - they didn't make multiple models for different markets. They all have the same spec (crap radio, tape deck, cruise etc), the only options were for Floor Mats and LED brake light IIRC.

What I'm attempting to say is that if we did a UK-version it would be so similiar to NSXprime as to be indistinguishable, hence we direct you there. Maybe we're just being lazy? :D

Perhaps the following threads may also shed some light on NSX buying (although these are specific cases)
