Just got one hell of a shock.

My insurance renewal just came through the post and has gone up from £420 last year to £932.50.

No claims, no points, nothing has changed.

Guess they don't want my business.

Yeah I guess it's time to change insurance companies then.

Mine doubled this year also, looked around and couldn't find anything cheaper :(

The S2000 insurance halved though so nil change overall.

But............ the Mercedes E300 TD Estate was £24.10 for the year lol.

I know Admiral won't be the cheapest but I have a multi-car policy with them, and paying £700 ish a year to cover both cars.

Funny that, I shopped around and got mine cheaper this year with 3 points that I didn't have last time, also helped with £55 cashback from Quidco. Norwich Union who I'm with now.

Try £1100 a year  that was after some serious shopping around, first quotes were between £2200 - £3K:eek: (I'm also with NU)

In March managed to get mine under a grand, quite happy with that given I had 6 points at the time, I'm under 30 and live in London. I hope this thread isn't indicative of a general increase in premiums for when I come to renew.

Bizarrely, best price was with the same company (Privelege) that I'd been with before, but they wouldn't handle the new customer quote as a renewal. Bought the policy as a new customer, and duly got the letter asking for proof of no claims from my previous insurer...

I also got a good price from Privilege.

£450 ish with 3 pts. I'm 28 and it's a 3.2.

Think I'll go back to Groupama, they have quoted me £454.:)

Well pi$$ed off with Markerstudy. I gave them a call to ask how they could justify a 121% hike in the cost.

They told me it was because they had had a lot of claims from people in the IT profession with dual class 1 insurance.

121% ? - What a load of bollox
