And from memory this owner may have had similar issues with a VX220 on another forum.

Seen this for sale on Pistonheads and it sounds OK but saw it refered to it some threads on it...anyone know what's wrong with it? Is it best avoided?

http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/672048.htm

Have to say it looks pretty amazing.

Thanks in advance for any help!

apparantly it's one of several that were imported ... some damaged some not. The one in question was not damaged allegedly and had the roof painted black and the wheels done since it has been in the UK.

I actually saw it in the body shop, it was Sebring Silver with black roof when imported. Three wings were in primer from memory. The wheels were still the older 5 spokes.
In fairness it looked to me like it was being repaired to a high sandard though.

Worth a look with a comprehensive check over and a good few grand off the asking price if that's what you are looking for maybe...

If it was silver the color has been changed with DVLA/V5 as a I done a quick check and its coming up as white. It was also first regsitered in the UK on 16/07/2008.

It's a cheap car and if the repair has been done well then probably a good buy.

It's just a shame that the seller has told soooo many lies that they cannot be trusted. If they were honest about it all then it would probably be a good buy (apart from the fact it's an auto!)

So much for him coming on here telling us it was a straight car.
So easy to be found out these days, if they stuck to the truth and did good repairs then I would have no problems, as it is.......... :(

This is a scam. There is a posting on Pistonheads identifying it and suggesting people don't entertain. I have let Pistonheads know.

Pistonheads are useless are removing these ads, i emailed them about this one after it was live for only 2 hours!!! So much for looking after their customers and protecting them from scammers

I think now they are charging for classifieds this sort of thing won't happen anymore.

But £5 spent to get £5k back, good odds, just obviously can be traced now ;)
