Out of interest, I was wondering how long everyone is an NSX owner? Which Includes the first time you owned one and maybe move on, but came back again to NSX ownership.

For me, the first NSX was in 1996, then sold it a year or so later.
Then owned a another in 2000 which I sold about 5 months later, and now again, since Dec 2007!!

will soon be 8 years! same car, a few miles of very happy motoring..44000 when purchased - now at 78000. I'm not going to win the award for high milage club I guess but it's been good for me! It's the longest I ever kept a car!

Miles doesnt really matter, just wondering how long people have been NSX owners? from the first time you have ever owned one!

About just over 1 month and about 200 miles (mainly because i drove to kent to birmingham)....I have only driven it about 10 times....it is spending alot of time in the mechanics getting a proper inspection....service....cosmetics......

But so happy everytime i get in it :)

I can't imagine wanting to ever sell it......

I have taken the plunge and agreed to purchase Jaytips 04, 54 Formula Red car tomorrow.

My train ticket is booked and I am heading down to South Wales at 06:30 to habd over payment and bring the car back up north. Have to confess I am nervous and excited in equal measure.

I have been an NSX fan since it was unveiled in 1990 and still think it is the business in the looks department.

Roll on tomorrow!

Would be an interesting addition to your thread to know the oldest NSX pilot in UK/Europe too. Ive had my Acura NA1 shipped in from the States on my 40th birthday....2 years ago

...judging by your postcount and mileage, I'd hazard a guess you spend a lot more time on this website than you spend on driving your car :-)

Just drive it more!!! The novelty won't wear off...

After 3 years of sitting on the fence I bought "The Goddess" 2 years ago in june.I really do not see me ever wanting to ever sell her. However she will have a hard task to beat my ownership of my daily driver, one of only 40 Isuzu Piazza Lotus Turbo's left on the road and 20 years old next month!!

LOL ... I think most of us have said the same thing over the past year or so! If it wasn't for the insurance I'd easily do more than my current 5k a year and you are right, the novelty doesn't wear off! I think 10% of his 4 yr mileage was going to Jamesfest last year!

BTW, must be time for another Basingstoke meet soon?

Thanks all for being kind! I expected more of a tidal barrage, but got a ripple! Yes I know I should drive her more, but its always been less is more for me. I feel more special when I take her out and if I used her more regulary, the novelty might wear off a little! Problem is I also run a couple more cars (1 a classic) in addition my wife's and shes got a lovely motor too! Anyway I must keep my baby fresh & young! :) Paul, funny enough, last years Japfest was my longest trip ever! Hopefully she now just about runnng in! :D

My NSX ownership came into being because of a drunken night out which ended with me going online and looking through the Japanese auction listing and falling in love with a JDM beauty. It happened on 28th November 2007, I saw the pics (attached) and that was it, I put in a bid but so sure that it would be too low to secure it.

The next day, I was sitting at my desk at work nursing a hangover, when an email popped up with the line that made my heart skip a beat..."We are pleased to confirm that we have been able to purchase NSX for you..." They actually bid 50,000 yen over the price I had given but that was what was needed to secure it - I wasn't complaining though and when it sank in I was thanking my lucky stars that I was under the influence the night before otherwise I'd have never made the spur of the moment bid!

Anyway, despite the fact that it got damaged during shipping, I was so chuffed when I got my hands on it and drove it back from Southampton on Friday 7th March - what a feeling! The happy news is that the insurance company paid out in full for the damage so I now have the cash to get the Marga Hills wings and bonnet repaired.

In short, NSX is living the dream.... (thank god for beer!)

Thanks to Ivor I now have the beast home.

I loved every minute of the drive north even though there were long periods of stop start driving around Birmingham. It is everything I thought and more! The noise, the engine flexibility and the outright thrust is fantastic.

I look forward to getting to know the car even better! I can't wipe the smile of my face!

Hi All,

First drove one back in 1991 when the owner of the local Honda dealership threw me the keys to one he was testing - it was such a fantastic experience I promised myself that, one, day, I would own one. Had to wait until February 2006 (when I was the ripe old age of 60) for the dream to come true when I collected my '03 baby with just 4000 miles on the clock. I used it as my regular business express for the first year or so, clocking up a total of around 18000 miles. Now I have the CRV as my daily driver as I was becoming a bit concerned at piling on the miles - yes, I can hear you all shouting at your monitors! I now keep it in a friends nearby locked barn where I can keep the battery on trickle charge. I tend to use the NSX for occasional long journeys such as my recent trip to friends in France - absolutley brilliant time with amazing reactions from the locals whereever I went.
