Hello everyone

Yesterday, whilst out in my 1995 T Fmatic I was negotiating a very steep and winding road up a hill at about 10mph when the TCS light started flashing & the ecu took control of the throttle. No matter how hard I pressed the accelerator pedal, no extra power was provided & I continued my ascent up the hill at 10mph.

as soon as I reached the top of the hill, the light stopped flashing & normal service was resumed.

Any Ideas

Best Regards

was it wet?

when the TCS detects wheel slip and 'takes control' of the throttle as you describe the TCS light flashes to indicate that it is doing so.

when it's services are no longer needed the flashing stops and full control is returned to you.

all of this is perfectly normal.

Hi Darren

No it wasn't wet but I did have to negotiate 3 * 90 degree turns in about 50 yards which may perhaps have been interpereted as wheel slip.

Thanks for your input
