Reference to early NSX literature and the works manual describes and datails a cooling fan between the engine bay and off-side wing inlet. Works manual 23-113 and 23-120.
Inspection of my own engine bay, 1995 UK supplied 3.0 coupe shows it isn't there and has never been fitted. Is this deletion a UK spec?
Under what service circumstances is it, was it , deemed necessary.

What other differences between UK, US, Japanese home market cars are known.
Euro cars have lower headlamps and headlamp washers, Euro cars do not have an antenna in the rear hatch window.

Yes, don't worry - it was deleted from later cars (don't know when - 94+?) - I had the same worry when I got the 97 and thought 'where the hell's the fan?'

Can't help with the original usage though..anyone?

LOL. When I bought my 99 model I sh** my self when I saw a big hole instead of the fan, and the strut brace was missing too.

All was made clear when my local honda dealer told my all was normal and these items were deleted.

Russell will be pleased then - we were winding him up last year about the fact that his strut brace had disappeared :)

Strut braces have always been fitted to all cars in the States. I asked MJ after that meeting and seeing Russell's car. So whether it's random, or a UK thing I don't know.

I read that after 97 the coupes were strengthened to include the reinforcements made to the " T " and therefore Honda did not feel that the bars were needed.

Hi Duncan,
Where did you get the info about the Euro models having lower headlights? Is this because we have the adjuster switch on our console while the US cars do not?

A different problem, but I can’t raise my headlights (adjustment) with a Phillips screwdriver as it says in the manual, and it causes problems with the MOT because they are a tad too low. One day I will have to take them apart and fix them. Strange that both headlights won’t adjust…
They do lower when I twiddle the knob on the console switch…but then they are really too low.
Have you heard of others having that problem? The crown gear thingy on the headlight goes around when I turn it with the screwdriver, but the headlight doesn’t adjust up or down. Very frustrating. Maybe there is a shaft inside the headlight that has fallen off. But on BOTH left and right lights?
Who here is the “headlight specialist”?

Peter,
The headlamp units are not linked. The easiest way to see what is happening is to release the painted shroud. Prise out the blanking, body coloured plugs and remove the philips screws. I couldn't remove my shrouds, the front lip fouled the body at the front, BUT at least you could see the adjuster thingies. Effectively the philips screw driver head mates with the headlamp adjustig screw as a bevel gear.
My reference to lower headlamps was to the fog lamps, they have their own adjuster screw (up and down only not side to side).
